L.S.A. POLICIES
Late Policy
Our class time is valuable, and we want to make sure our students have conducive learning environments and are ready when the clock strikes. To ensure our students have the best experience possible, LeBlanc School of Acting has a strict 'Late Policy'. Our Late Policy means that if you are more than 10 minutes late, you will unfortunately not be allowed to participate in class and will not be let in from the Zoom waiting room. At LeBlanc, we work hard to create exciting class plans coordinated to class time. By being late, our students lose out on key elements and education while disrupting the class flow and learning of others. Our team is always open to working with unexpected schedule changes or appointments; they just need to be made aware ahead of time. If your child will be late, please email admin@leblancschool.com to let us know in advance.
Private Class Scheduling Policy
- For each pack of private classes the classes must be scheduled within one calendar year of the first class session.
- If the student has fallen out of contact it is up to the instructor to reach out to set the classes back up.
- After the calendar year has passed, and the instructor has reached out with no follow up contact on the students end, the classes will be considered forfeit and the instructor will be paid out for the remainder of the class pack.
Â
Zoom and Camera PolicyÂ
- When students are in class they must have their camera on unless it is performance or break time. If a student is turning their camera off during any other time that is not appropriate . If we cannot see them we cannot mark them as present and will have to say that they are absent.
- This includes having their face in frame during teaching periods of class.
- Exceptions to these rules are when they are auditing class.
- If a student is in a moving car, they must have their camera off for the entire time they are in the car and can turn their camera back on once they are in an appropriate place to participate in class.
- If a student is taking class in a space that is not conducive for them to be able to focus they will be asked to turn off their camera and move to a better place that will not be a distraction to themselves and the rest of the class.
- Must Enter with proper name - We will NOT be allowing any participant to enter the class from the waiting room unless the student's full first name and full last name or last name's initial, e.g. "Julian LeBlanc" or "Julian L." is displayed.
- Inappropriate behaviour is outlined as strong bullying/derogatory slurs (swearing is fine) or nudity (whether that is the student or the parent walking around behind the student). If this occurs during a class the instructor will send the student to the waiting room, the school will be in contact shortly to discuss the issue further, and that will be the end of your session in that class.

Missed Class Policy
Our Term Class weeks run from Tuesday to Sunday. If you miss a class and it is still within the same week you missed, you can request a class switch (see policy below). If you do not meet the cut-off to be able to switch classes for a missed class, you can schedule a class with a top LeBlanc instructor to learn the missed lesson plan, but a teaching fee would apply. This fee will mirror L.S.A.'s 1-hour coaching rates. This miss classed can be booked as an Audition Coaching (*Please note the week and class missed in the message section.).Â
If you miss a scheduled Private Class, that class will count as a no-show and be considered a loss. The same applies if you cancel a Private Lesson less than 24-hours before your scheduled class time. We do this out of respect for our instructor's time and other students who may have wanted that time slot.
Class Switch Policy
Life happens, and from time to time, students have to miss their term class unexpectedly. We understand, so please take a read through LeBlanc's missing class change policy ahead of time:Â
If a student's schedule reflects that they will miss their term class and they want to switch classes for the week to accommodate their absence, please notify our L.S.A. staff before the week of the missed class. Our classes are extensively planned around content and class size; when classes are missed, this affects not only the student but also the whole class flow. With proper notice, we can do our absolute best to accommodate.Â
However, please be aware that last-minute changes cannot be made during the month of the class that will be missed. The more notice, the better! There are some exceptions to this policy, such as in the case of bookings or emergencies. In these moments, it is up to the school's discretion as to what is possible.
Cancellation Policy
Sometimes life gets in the way, and you can't participate in one of our camps, classes or workshops. Whether it's a trip, a birthday party or your family making a last-minute visit, we totally get it, and we want you to have fun and make memories! When life gets busy, here are a few things to keep in mind about our cancellation policy before signing up for your next LeBlanc camp, class or workshop.
When you sign up for a LeBlanc experience, you are agreeing to the following policy:
- Any cancellation made for any of our classes or workshops, if cancelled 14 days or more in advance of the start date/time, will be fully refunded.
- If a cancellation is made within seven days of the start date/time, full credit will be given, which can be applied to any of our classes or workshops within six months.
- Any cancellation made less than 24 hours from the start date/time will result in a 50% loss of the cost of the class or workshop. The remaining 50% of the payment will be kept as a credit and can be used for any upcoming classes or workshops offered within six months.
- If LeBlanc School of Acting is not notified before the start of a class or workshop, and is notified after 24 hours past the class or workshop time, then this is considered a loss, and the school keeps 100% of tuition or cost.
- In the event of a true, unavoidable emergency, all or part of your cancellation fee may be applied for future services.
Code of Ethics & Morals
At LeBlanc, we are a school built on acceptance - always! Everyone involved in LeBlanc School of Acting, from students to teachers and guardians, is a collective group working together to celebrate diversity and inclusivity. LeBlanc does not tolerate bullying, prejudice or non-inclusive language.
Our school is a place where our staff and students look forward to being every day, a place of learning, growth, and kindness. We hold a strong stance on maintaining a respectful environment, and to that end, no recording of full classes is permitted at LeBlanc. Short video clips and photos are acceptable for mementos and social media sharing. Please help us keep LeBlanc the shining star it is for all students, staff, and guardians by remembering to treat everyone with the respect they deserve.
When you come to class, please be ready to learn! This means you are sitting in a learning-conducive environment with everything you need.
Although life requires us to be on the go, attending class from a vehicle or busy area can be distracting to others. If you are joining the class from a non-learning conducive environment, we will require that you audit rather than participate in the class; this means your camera and sound will stay off for the class duration so that others can learn without interruption.
